Falling in Love with Paris: Our First Visit to the City of Lights

From the moment we arrived, Paris captivated us with its charm, history, and undeniable beauty. We took a train from Brussels, enjoying the scenic ride through the countryside before arriving in the heart of the city. Alternatively, flights to Charles de Gaulle Airport are just as convenient, but there's something about the train ride that sets the tone for a Parisian adventure.

Another unforgettable experience was visiting the Louvre. Walking through its grand halls surrounded by centuries of art, felt like stepping through time. The Louvre is vast and rich with history, and no matter how many times you visit, there's always something new to discover.

And of course, no trip to Paris is complete without tasting macarons. On our first visit we indulged in these delicate, sweet treats at a quaint patisserie, savoring each bite. Every macaron was a little piece of heaven.

Visiting Notre-Dame Cathedral before the fire was one of the most breathtaking experiences of our first trip to Paris. As we walked up to the cathedral, its towering gothic architecture and intricate stones carvings immediately caught our attention. The moment we stepped inside, we were in awe of the high ceilings, massive columns, and the soft glow of light filtering through the stunning stained-glass windows. The Rose Window, in particular, was mesmerizing - its colors and patterns were even more beautiful in person.

Paris isn't just a place - it's a feeling, a memory, and a love that stays with you long after you leave. And we know we'll be back again.
